Agada is a unique blend made of seven varieties: Merlot (30%) from a vineyard near Shiloh; Sauvignon (19%) from a vineyard near Shiloh; Shiraz (15%) from a vineyard in the Kadesh Valley (Upper Galilee); Barbera (15%) from a vineyard in Kfar Yuval (Upper Galilee); Cabarnet Franc (11%) from a vineyard near Shiloh; Petit Verdot (6%) from a vineyard near Mevo Horon (Samaria); and Petite Sirah (4%) from a vineyard near Mevo Horon (Samaria).
The wine was actually made of two leading terroirs – the Samaria region and the Upper Galilee region – and each and every grape contributed its share to the creation of a unique and high-quality vin d’assemblage. The wine was aged twice. First, it underwent varietal aging for eight months, and once the blend was created, it was aged for 22 additional months in quality French oak barrels. The wine has a wonderful dark Bordeaux color. Its palate is very complex and it has aromas of forest fruits with ripe fruit and balanced acidity, and flavors of dried fruits and black pepper. It is a full-bodied wine suitable for almost any stage of the meal, and it has a potential for aging and improving over the next years.
This wine is kosher.
