Margalit Winery

The Margalit Winery is one of the oldest high-quality wineries in Israel.  It was established by Yair Margalit and began its operations already in 1989, becoming the first quality boutique winery to market its products commercially.  The winery is partial to classic Bordeaux varieties – Cabarnet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabarnet Franc – and specializes in the production of such wines with a wealth of flavors, complexity, depth, and full bodies.  The winery maintains a high quality level and production capabilities of 1,600 cases per year.  Its wines have distinctive character, exceptional quality, and maintain their high standards throughout time.
Cabarnet Sauvignon Reserve 2010

This wine is made of 85% Cabarnet Sauvignon, 13% Durif (Petit Sirah), and 2% Cabarnet Franc grapes.  The grapes are from the Margalit Winery in Kaditah.  This is a deep, wide, rich wine that brings with it a quality range of flavors.  The unique combination of Cabarnet Sauvignon and Durif grapes gives the wine a concentrated and dark black color.
This is an unusually powerful wine, a heavy wine, a high-quality wine with a potential for years-long aging.

Enigma 2008

A quality blend from Margalit Winery made with 58% Cabarnet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and 18% Cabarnet Franc grapes.
The wine was aged in selected oak barrels for 12 months prior to being bottled.
It combines the flavor of red forest fruits, vanilla, raspberry, and plums.
The wine is rich but not bombastic and has a pervading elegance.  It has a significant aging potential.
